Heading to Jail for DUI

So it sucks to say I am going to jail in January for my DUI.  Not only that I'm going to a total shit hole that houses repeat offenders and I'm not a repeat offender.  So it will be interesting to see how I "last" in jail.  My plan is to stay away from the phones because that's where fights usually start.  I'm a little nervous because I don't know how my "cell mates" are gonna be but it is what it is.  So I got sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for 1 day served.  They are allowing me to do it on the weekends so I turn myself in on Friday and am released Sunday.  I will do this for three weekends.  The reason I got the sentence was because I blew a .25, hit a car (no one was hurt thank God) and ran, then I hit a fence and a pole.  I am very lucky and in no way think my punishment is too harsh.  I just wish I wasn't put in the scumiest place on earth with people who have commited more severe crimes.  I plan to blog about my experience so stay tuned.  I don't start until January 6th.
