My Favorite Thing This Week

I'm leaving for Cabo this weekend so I had to go shopping for some bathing suits.  Instead of buying bathing suits I stopped at Sephora and spent about $200 on makeup.  After the initial buyer's remorse I'm glad I did because I now have some of the best products I've ever tried.

Favorite #1 - Josie Maran's Argan Oil.  Josie Maran is a supermodel born and raised in Northern California.  You may not know the name but if you saw her face you'd recognize her.  I've heard of the amazing benefits you can get from Argan Oil so I purchased it for about $50.  Here is Sephora's description of the oil.

When Josie Maran began creating her cosmetics line she knew she had to include argan oil, her long time beauty secret, in all of her formulas. Produced in the semi-deserts of Morocco from the argan tree, argan oil has been used for centuries as both a nutritional and cosmetic supplement. Rich in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E, this multipurpose oil feeds the skin from the inside out and nourishes lackluster hair. It has been used for centuries to fade scars, heal acneic skin and smooth wrinkles. In addition to including 100% pure and organic argan oil sold separately in her line, Maran also infuses it within her products so you get all its benefits along with pure, gorgeous color that keeps you, and the earth, beautiful.

I have very dry skin and the minute I applied this oil to my face the dry, tight feeling completely went away.  I use this product now every morning and night and have already seen red spots and problem areas of my skin slowly start to fade.  I will continue to use this product and highly recommend it.

Favorite #2  Makeup Forever.  I like to try new things but I'm partial to MAC and Smashbox cosmetics because I know they work.  However, when I saw the display of Makeup Forever products it immediately caught my attention.  I had heard of the makeup before because it's starting to become the latest craze.  This brand is only for those who love to experiment with makeup and aren't really into the natural look.  They have these pots with wild colors (flourescent pink and gold is my favorite).  You can use the colors for your eyes or lips and it adds crazy style that you can't get with regular makeup.  They even have diamonds that you can stick around your eyes to create a more drastic look.  Go to Sephora and check it out.
