So I am a complete jackass and dyed my hair a week before I'm about to go on vacation to Cabo. I had bleached blonde hair and just wanted to darken up the blonde a little bit and still be blonde. So I bought what I thought was the lightest shade of golden blonde and it of course clung to the light strands around the front of my face. Those strands turned blue. What the fuck.
So I went a day at work trying to cover it up a little. Mind you it's not my whole hair that is dyed blue just the front (obvious) pieces. It kinda looks like I have blonde hair with blue highlights. No one said anything but I did get quite a few "looks." So last night I went to the beauty supply store to get the proper bleach and toner to try to fix this disaster.
I put the bleach on and after about 10 minutes I noticed my hair was blending together to become a normal color. I kept it on longer and washed my hair. I applied toner which I always do when I bleach my hair and the blue strands were no longer blue! Instead.........they were purple! Thanks Wella Creme Toner! So I spent half the night cutting my hair off so now it looks super retarded. I'm going to look like a serious freak on my upcoming vacation to Mexico. Learn from me, just spend the money and get it done at a salon. I didn't because I have ADD when it comes to salon's and I hate sitting there for hours so I figured I would just do it myself. It's not worth it.
***Update
I found a product called "Oops" by L'Oreal and it worked like a charm. I applied it to the blue parts of my hair and in about 10 minutes the blue was completely removed and my blonde color underneath came back to life. This product really works and you can buy it at Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS wherever you get your hair color. Some people may find that it lightens your hair too much if you leave it on for too long. If that's the case you may have to dye it again but with the correct color this time.
