I'm starting a new diet customized to tailor my needs from a bodybuilder/certified nutritionist. My goals were to lose weight and tone my entire body. For me I see results quick when I lower my carb intake so that is what we've done. Here is a sample of what I ate yesterday and what I'm eating today. You will notice there's really no deprivation:
Monday
Breakfast- Kashi Go Lean Cereal with 1% milk
Sliced peaches
Canadian bacon slices
Snack 1- apple medium (not my favorite, so I substitute it for a pear or orange.)
Lunch- low carb chicken salad
egg salad
peeled cucumber slices
Snack 2- Dannon nonfat blueberry yogurt
Dinner- Lean pork tenderloin
low sodium apricot ginger chutney fruit sweetened
Quinoa cooked (or cous-cous)
brussel sprouts cooked (or broccoli)
total carbs: 126g
protein: 87g
calories: 1211
Tuesday
Breakfast- medium oatmeal muffin
dannon nonfat raspberry yogurt
medium navel orange
Snack 1- salted dry peanuts
lunch- cucumber and jicama salad
grilled chicken breasts
snack 2- whole wheat crackers
diced swiss cheese
strawberry halves
Dinner- shrimps sauteed
cooked brown rice
sweet pepper mix
