Day 5 of the HCG Diet

So it's day 5 and I've already lost 5 pounds.  It's acutally a 5 pound loss in 4 days because my first day of the diet I had to gorge on fattening foods.  Surprisingly I haven't had any cravings and I don't feel like I'm starving.  Today I ate a orange for breakfast and had rye toast for a snack.  They say to have Melba toast but I couldn't find it anywhere so rye is the next best thing.  Lunch I ate a very small piece of steak and salad with no dressing just radishes, tomatoes and lemon juice.  The HCG diet book has a great recipe for a cucumber dressing you can make.  I'll post that later.   Last night I did have some vodka but I still lost 1.3 pounds.  So suffice to say I'm lovign this diet and the results.  Yes there are times I just want to grab a starchy muffin or biscuit but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.  The results are more important to me.  Is anyone else finding success or failure with this diet?  I still have 20 or so days to go!  Oh and if you get to your goal weight before the 23-26 days of the diet you can start the taper and maintenance phase where you add an extra 200 or so calories to your diet. **Another thing to note.....you should never feel hunger pangs on this diet as long as you are loading properly.  It's good to snack on the approved foods throughout the day.  I brought lettuce with crab meat, tomatoes and radishes and have just been grazing on it as my snack all day.  It really works.
